    My Boss INSULTS me!

I’m really sorry to hear that you’re dealing with this. Here are some steps you can take:
    1. Document Everything: Keep a record of all incidents, including dates, times, what was said or done, and any witnesses. This documentation can be crucial if you need to escalate the issue.
    2. Understand Your Rights: Familiarize yourself with South African labor laws. The Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the Employment Equity Act are good places to start.
    3. Speak to HR: If your company has a Human Resources department, report the behavior to them. They are there to help resolve workplace issues.
    4. Seek Support: Talk to a trusted colleague, friend, or family member about what you’re experiencing. Sometimes, just having someone to listen can make a big difference and they could provide you with specific advice for that applicable circumstances that is invaluable.
    5. Consider Mediation: If direct confrontation feels too daunting, mediation might be a good option. A neutral third party can help facilitate a conversation between you and your boss.  The parties would need to agree to such arrangement.
    6. Legal Advice: If the situation doesn’t improve, consider seeking legal advice. This matter may need to be referred to the CCMA as a dispute especially if your boss is trying to get you to resign.

Remember, you deserve to work in a respectful and supportive environment.
