    Help!

My boss pays me late like most months.  What can I do. I am really pissed as I work hard and expect to be paid on time.

THIS IS UNREASONABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE… but what can I do?

If your employer pays you late, here are some steps you can take:

    1. Check Your Employment Contract: Verify the agreed pay date in your contract. Late payment is a breach of contract if the date is specified.
    2. Communicate with Your Employer: Contact your employer or HR department to inform them of the issue. It might be a simple error that can be quickly resolved.
    3. Document Everything: Keep records of your communications, payslips, and any other relevant documents. This will be useful if you need to escalate the issue.
    4. Raise a Formal Grievance: If the issue isn’t resolved informally, follow your company’s grievance procedure to file a formal complaint.
    5. Seek Legal Advice: If the problem persists, consider consulting with a labor law attorney or contacting a labor rights organization for guidance.
    6. Report this matter to the Department of Labour: You may need to report this matter to the Department of Labour who can investigate, assess and if needs take legal steps against the employer.

It’s important to address the issue promptly to avoid financial stress and ensure your rights are protected. Have you experienced this issue recently?
